Best Laptops For Photo Editing – Conclusion

Photo editing, these days, is a popular hobby and even profession for many. Photoshop is used to create memes and other popular humorous content. And as Photoshop is quite a RAM consumer, it needs a laptop like one of the five above. Sieving these five laptops out of the 500 has been a tough job, but only to make it easier for you.

Microsoft launched its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 to cater to this section of users and we can say just by the looks of their hardware specs, that these two can handle the job well enough. Both feature a Surface Pen which comes in handy every time you need assistance. Intel Core i5 processor can be found in both of these laptops, but what makes them different is their RAM size as the Surface Book comes with an 8GB RAM, whereas the Surface Pro 4 contains 4GBs of the same. The 128GB SSD compensates for the loss in speed because of lesser 4GB RAM, by speeding up the file access and file deployment. The same goes for Surface Book with an 8GB RAM. Also, both of them come with a Digital Card reader to transfer photos and the size of Surface Pro 4 is 12.3” whereas the Surface Book has 13.5”, both with PixelSense Display. Whenever it’s about performance, a MacBook has to be there. And the one, this time, is the MacBook Pro with a large 15.4” Retina Display for crystal clear visibility.

Augmented with Intel Core i7 up to 3.5GHz, 16GB and 256GB SSD, the laptop proudly boasts an AMD Radeon Pro 450 GPU for graphics. Four ‘Thunderbolt 3 ports’ is a typical feature depicting the extravagant side of Apple. But if you think you couldn’t have a laptop as good as MacBook but with Windows 10, the Alienware AW15R3 and Asus ROG Strix GL502VS are here to prove you wrong. And while both have almost the same features apart from the fact that each has a dedicated gaming built chiseled to perfection by the respective brands; the Asus ROG Strix has a GTX 1070 with Intel Core i7 (6300HQ) and 16GB RAM, the Alienware has a newer Core i7 7700HQ but with GTX 1060 GPU and 16GB RAM. But again, these two laptops are too much for using Photoshop. Even for storing files, both have a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD.
